My journey into the world of design has been a creative adventure filled with curiosity, discovery, and passion.
It all began with endless hours spent on Tumblr, meticulously designing and redesigning my homepage. Those early days ignited a spark in me—a love for visual storytelling and a deep appreciation for the aesthetics of design.
My path wasn’t straightforward. I initially dove into the world of animation, captivated by the magic of bringing characters to life. However, as I explored further, I found my true calling in graphic design, which then evolved into a fascination with UX design. Each step of the way, I was driven by a desire to create meaningful and impactful experiences for users.
Studying graphic design at Brigham Young University was a formative yet lonely experience. It was there that I realized the profound impact of designing for people, not just projects. This epiphany shifted my focus—design wasn’t just about creating beautiful things; it was about crafting solutions that truly resonate with and benefit others.
I adhere to several core design values that guide my work:
On my free time, I like to shoot Super 8 film and play with my cat, Butterbean. I do still have a tumblr blog but it's only for browsing and not so much for personal expression. My favorite music genres are sad girl indie music and EDM and my goal is to go to 10 concerts every year.
